Oh Canada!

As the sport show season for another year comes to an end for us, it reminds me of a question that sometimes comes up as we are on the road: "So just what is it that makes Canada so special?" Of course, the answer(s) may vary widely from person to person, but for us the answer often goes something along these lines.
Unspoiled shoreline, wildlife and shore lunches, are just a few of the factors that make you say "Oh Canada!"
It's always easy to start with the fishing, as yes, for many freshwater fishermen it may very well be the best fishing they ever experience in their lifetimes. But what many people don't realize is that the experience actually goes well beyond JUST the fishing. The experience is enhanced exponentially when you add factors such as: 1) The seemingly endless miles of shoreline that remain untouched by the hand of man 2)The incredible scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities that even pictures will not do justice
3)The soul-soothing nature of the peaceful serenity of your setting
(IMAGINE-no skiers or any other PWC's OR like in our setting not even any cars or RR tracks ) 4)The incredible memories of an authentic Canadian shore lunch with freshly caught, delicious walleye, northern pike, perch etc. These are just a few of what could be a truly endless list.

Regardless of the reasons that make it special for you-we are looking forward to another season filled with wonderful memories and great times in camp filled with laughter, stories and lot's of fish tails and fish tales!

Opening week-UPDATE

The response to our new special for opening week has been pretty good. With the current weather forecast for Perrault Falls, things are definitely looking up and showing more potential for an earlier ice-out. Temperatures for the next seven days (at the time of this writing) are forecast to hit highs of 43-52 degrees F every day during this week. It won't take too much weather like this and the ice will go quickly! Which brings me to the point....There are still a couple cabins available opening week and due to a cancellation a cabin is now available the second week of the season May 22-29th. With the warming weather trend, this is almost certain to provide some excellent multi-species fishing these two weeks, at a time when there just aren't that many people around yet to fish 'em! If you have never fished the opener--this is a great opportunity, so don't be a turtle-- hurry up and call or e mail today!
